Curing the Future exposes you to the fascinating world of medicine and disease, extending your prior knowledge and understanding of medical research and practice. You will gain insight into what it takes to work in the medical profession in the 21st Century, on campus at our Summer School. Explore the fields of biology, genetics, neuroscience, genomics, emergency medicine, and human anatomy in a fully immersive setting.
Supported by expert tutors you will investigate the practice of medicine, learning from guest speakers and simulations. Gain practical insight into a career as a Surgeon, Doctor, Nurse, or Allied Health Professional and identify how to navigate the medical school application process.
Law & Politics (Ages 16-18)

On this programme you will examine the interconnection of law and politics and take the first step to pursuing your legal career. Bring your design ideas to life at one of the richest artistic and architectural locations in the world. You’ll apply the core principles of architecture, including planning, design and spatial mapping, as you fast track your future to becoming a world-class architect. Apply your learning in the “City of the Future” design challenge, where you will collaborate on a design team and propose and present architectural solutions for the urban city of 2050.
Immerse yourself in the buildings, colleges, art collections and museums in Oxford, observing ‘case studies’ which illustrate the development of art and architecture in Europe between the Roman and Norman Conquests, to the architecture of the University in the 20th and 21st centuries. Produce a range of architectural drawings and build your professional portfolio as you practice technical drawing and model construction in both manual and digital formats.

Shoot, edit and screen your own short film on location at our ‘Film Academy: Oxford Through The Lens summer school, on campus in Oxford. With the city of Oxford – filming site of the Harry Potter films, James Bond, and much more – as your set, you will gain insights to film production and digital editing as you experience first-hand what it is like to produce a film.
Utilise first-class video production equipment including HD cameras and professional sound and lighting instruments. Practise your digital editing skills as you take your film through post-production using Final Cut Pro. Immerse yourself in screenwriting, location scouting, storyboarding, and digital editing.
